What is lower back pain
Lower back pain affects 540 million people — or more than 1 in 10 people. More than ever, lower back pain affects so many of us who are working from home. In fact, studies have shown that not only cases of low back pain have increased, but also the intensity of those cases.
So, what exactly counts as lower back pain?
Lower back pain can look different for everyone, and therefore be described by a number of signs and symptoms. Generally it is described as pain, muscle tension, or stiffness in the lumbar portion of the spine. This discomfort can occur with or without sciatica, which is pain affecting the back, hip, and outer side of the leg, caused by compression of a spinal nerve root in the lower back.
In this workshop, we will cover the basic anatomy of the lower back, to better increase your understanding of your body’s mechanisms. We will also discuss the causes that lead to pain in the lumbar spine, proven exercise & stretch routines that will work to instantly reduce pain and tightness, and lastly the way your daily habits & diet can affect pain.
By following along in this workshop, and making the necessary changes to your routine, you can expect a reduction of lower back pain, tightness, and a more balanced, functional core that will ensure long term results. Let’s get started.
