What is Plantar Fasciitis ?
Plantar Fasciitis is an extremely painful and debilitating affliction of the plantar fascia which is the thick band of fascia that connects your heel to your toes. It is so painful that it makes walking and standing almost unbearable and is the most common foot pain complaint. Taking care of your feet can prevent or alleviate this pain but sadly only 2 out of 10 people think about their foot health on a regular basis. Your feet are natural shock absorbers and each foot absorbs 1.5 times your weight with each step that you take. Did you know that one quarter of all your bones are in your feet! With all these facts in mind, let’s get working on some foot stretching, maintaining and let’s get more than 2 out of 10 people thinking about healthy feet.

These were 5 simple but really effective stretches that can help relieve pain from plantar fasciitis and can be a part of a regular foot maintenance program. Additional steps you can do for your feet are, walk around bare feet as much as you can, go for a foot massage and try and reduce the amount of time spent in high heels.
